JOANNE SMITH BROOKHART
Ovarian Cancer
Diagnosed at stage 4 in 2006
1948-2007
Honored by Ashlie Brookhart McGill
I grew up hearing my mother say, "Little A, be the candle, or be the mirror that reflects the light." My mother was my candle and my mirror. She just loved life. She treasured the dance of it all. She joyously anticipated the wonders that God had in store for her each and every day. I flow for Joanne, my beautiful Mother.
JOANNE SMITH BROOKHART
Ovarian Cancer
Diagnosed at stage 4 in 2006
1948-2007
Honored by Paige Fershtand
I have always felt that I was blessed with not one amazing woman as a mother, but two. Full of wisdom, heart, grace, beauty and strength, I am honored to be her "second daughter." I flow for Joanne, my loving friend and "mom."

MATLIDA CAPUTO BARRESE
Non Hodgkins Lymphoma
Diagnosed terminal in 1993
1914-1993
Honored by Albert Jr. & Robert Barrese & Carmela Tufano
Mom’s spirit lives in her grandchildren whose achievements she would be so proud of. We used to joke that “Nana” could walk into a room of axe murderers and come out with friends who would be over for pasta within a week. She loved to socialize, to travel and to dance. She was a great Mom in a more innocent time. She suffered greatly and fought so hard to stay with us. We miss her every day and know she is in a better place.

RICHARD "DICK" FOLEY
Pancreatic Cancer
Diagnosed stage 4, July 2004
1943-2005
Honored by Allison Foley
Dick was a loyal friend, a great father, and the rock upon which his family was built. He lived in a house full of women, and would joke that "even the dog [was] a bitch." But he wouldn't have traded his three daughters, or the chaos that followed, for anything in the world. He loved answering the phone with a different voice or greeting, including answering as Count Dracula on Halloween, trying to trip up the caller. He especially enjoyed when his daughters' friends would hang up after hearing his greeting, afraid they had reached a wrong number. He fought his battle with cancer with grace and dignity, and is missed by everyone who ever knew him.

CARMELA TUFANO
Breast Cancer
Diagnosed stage 3, July 2006

DONNA BARRESE
Breast Cancer
Diagnosed stage 1, November 1986
Honored by Angela Barrese
My Aunt Donna was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1986. After a mastectomy and other treatments, she kicked cancer's a** and has been healthy ever since. She is living proof that together we can fight cancer. I flow for my Auntie Donna who won her courageous battle with breast cancer.

KC WALLACE
Throat Cancer
Diagnosed in 1996
1975-1996
Honored by Tony Barrese
Kelly Clark Wallace (KC) was one of my best friends. As one of the most popular kids in high school he had the unique ability to make even the most unpopular of us feel welcome. I had the unique pleasure of having every single class with K.C. during my freshman year at Medfield High School. Even when he moved to Maryland he made a concerted effort to stay in touch with those close to him. K.C. succumbed to a rare form of throat cancer in the summer of 1996. He was taken from us far far too soon. His infectious love of art, music, and all things creative inspired and continues to inspire all that knew him.

DOMINIC OSORIO
Brain Cancer
Diagnosed October 30, 2007
Honored by Angela Spagna
My five year old nephew was diagnosed with brain cancer. He's such a little solider and has gone through two brain surgeries so well that he's even surprised his doctors. He's a feisty little thing so we have confidence that he'll power right through this.
